A representative of Tours Atitlan will meet you at your hotel lobby, from there we will then travel for 30mins. across the lake to Santiago Atitlan. Located on the southern side of the lake between the volcanoes, Santiago is the biggest village around the lake with over 50,000 people! This market takes place on Fridays and Sundays but all throughout the week you are able to see part of this market. After visiting the market you can also visit Maximon- local saint which originated in this village, as well as the 400 year old church! Walk through the main square and observe locals with their traditional clothing and most still speaking their mayan dialect Tzutujil.
Later we will ride back across the lake to your hotel.
