Your 8 Days Guatemala Highlights Starts
Day 1 - A representative of Voltan Adventures will be waiting for you at the International Guatemala Airport. After touching down in Guatemala City, hop aboard a short and scenic private ride into the heart of the Mayans. Stay for three nights in Antigua Guatemala.
Enjoy a leisure walking tour of Antigua Guatemala
Day 2 - 9:00 a.m. You will be met by your guide at your hotel and Enjoy a half day private cultural walking tour of Antigua, learn from our history & culture. You will also visit several ruins, the San Francisco Church, the Merced and of course the main plaza central! Enjoy the rest of the day at your beautiful hotel or explore Antigua on your own.
Day trip to Active Volcano Pacaya
Travel to Lake Atitlan & Explore Traditional Market
Day 4 - 9:00 a.m. Today you will travel to Lake Atitlan, explore with your guide an amazing mayan site Iximche and a very traditional Mayan Market. After a great guided tour you will continue with your journey and spend 2 nights in Lake Atitlan at a great luxury hotel boutique.
Explore the Lake Atitlan by Local Boat
Day 5 - 9:00 a.m. Explore the lake Atitlan by local boat, visit local naïf painters, a local textile cooperative to see the back strap loom, the house where the Maya God Maximon is living. Once with Maximon you may see local shaman performing rituals for local people. After visiting Maximon guests can visit the local church and learn about the history of this very traditional town and also see the market and learn about the distinctive textiles and primitive art that is famous from this area.
Explore the Most Colorful Market of Central America
Day 6 - 8:00 a.m. Today depart from Lake Atitlan to the north west on the highlands of Guatemala. After a 1hrs scenic drive you will reach one of the most colorful markets of Guatemala, place where you will experience the vibrant colors of the outfits that the locals call Guipiles, masks, and the perfect place for souvenirs. After the tour you will drive back to Guatemala City and connect with your flight to Flores, Peten and spend 1 night at a great boutique hotel.
Day trip to a World Mayan Heritage "Tikal"
Day 7 - 9:00 a.m. The sound of nature and the birds your day will start with a delicious breakfast from your hotel restaurant, then travel for about 1hr to the ancient ruins of Tikal. Walk into the jungle of Petén, see our local wildlife, take pictures of the amazing palaces, and the temple of the Grand Jaguar. While you walk and explore Tikal, you will see hauler and spider monkeys and toucans. Lunch will happen at a small restaurant inside the park. Later you will travel back to the airport of el Mundo Mayan, and fly back to Guatemala City. Overnight in Guatemala City.
Your Journey of a Life Time Ends
Day 8 - 9:00 a.m. Today our driver will be meeting you at the hotel lobby and transfer you back to the airport and connect with your onward flight back home.
